Weapons give Humans a way to create space, interrupt pressure, protect teammates, and move through the facility with a plan. The best choice is not automatically the item with the largest model or an old damage number. Compare what the current weapon does before the hit, during the hit, and after the hit: start-up, reach, control, recovery, cooldown, durability, and the route needed to replace it.

Open the weapon guide you need

Weapon skins have their own Skins section. A cosmetic appearance should not be assumed to improve combat performance. Community documentation generally describes skins as statistical equivalents, although some can alter visual or audio feedback.

Working weapon roster

These names are community corroborated, not a guarantee that every option is in every server, event, or shop rotation. Open the full list for an item-by-item status field. Exact damage and durability values are deliberately omitted where the current patch was not reproduced.

Choose a weapon by job

For solo movement, favor a weapon whose start-up and recovery you can read under pressure. A theoretically strong swing is a liability if a miss leaves enough time for a Raytraxian to close and grab. For teammate rescue, prioritize control and a clean line to the attacker; do not swing through a crowded group without knowing target behavior.

For narrow hallways, reach and recovery determine whether you can hold a doorway without trapping yourself. In open rooms, movement and approach coverage matter more because opponents can circle. During Blackout, reduced information makes short, confirmed attacks safer than chasing silhouettes.

Keep an exit in view. Weapons help create a route; they do not turn every encounter into a duel that must be finished. If the cooldown bar is not ready, reposition instead of repeatedly pressing the attack input.

Understand cooldown and durability

Community documentation reports a universal cooldown indicator for weapon use, commonly shown as a blue bar. Many weapons also show a green durability resource. Read both in the current interface. A weapon can be available to carry while its action is still cooling down, and a durable weapon can still be lost through death, infection, leaving, trashing, or a break condition.

Test durability in a controlled sequence: note the starting bar, perform one confirmed action, observe the change, and repeat only if safe. Do not infer exact uses from one old screenshot. The number can change with balance updates, a variant, or an action that consumes a different amount.

Interrupts and control effects

Many community guides report that weapons can interrupt a Grab, but “can interrupt” does not mean every timing is safe. The Human must still have the action ready, face the threat, connect during a valid window, and avoid a second opponent. Practice the timing with one teammate in a private server before relying on it in a crowded public round.

Knockback, stun, and ragdoll are different outcomes. Record whether the target is moved, prevented from acting, knocked down, or only flinches. That distinction determines whether you should retreat, follow, or protect a teammate. Exact durations should come from a current test, not an older table.

• Confirm the weapon’s name in the current UI.
• Record source room or shop panel and server event state.
• Observe attack start, active reach, and recovery separately.
• Check cooldown feedback after a miss and a hit.
• Check durability after one controlled action.
• Test grab interruption with consent in a private server.
• Record whether control is knockback, stun, ragdoll, or only hit reaction.
• Recheck after an update before publishing exact numbers.

Patch-day weapon review

After an update, recheck one ordinary weapon, one control weapon, and one special source. Compare current UI, source, miss recovery, cooldown, durability, and target response. If those anchors changed, treat every older numeric weapon field as pending until retested.
