Crystal Chasm is the crystal-heavy facility area formerly documented as Crystal Caves. Older callouts can use either name. It is an important visual anchor and a transformation-risk zone associated with Kaiju.
Recognize the room
Use the large crystals, cave-like geometry, elevation, and reported Balcony relationship as anchors. Confirm the current room label when available. Do not depend on color alone because Power Outage, Blackout, and seasonal states can change lighting.
Turn around at the entrance and identify the return connector. Then mark a second exit or elevated reference. The room’s openness can make a chase feel simple until the player reaches a crystal cluster or edge.

Human route
If you intend to remain Human, give crystals extra clearance and avoid backward movement through clusters. Choose the exit before crossing the center. A Raytraxian can use the open line to pressure while the Human is watching hazards.
If you intend to test Kaiju acquisition, clear other players from the route and touch one identified crystal source. Record the result. Do not combine item use, multiple crystal contacts, and another Kaiju’s attack.
Use a ready weapon to create an exit, not to remain in the center after cooldown. Community guidance reports that many weapons can interrupt grabs, but crystal collision and a second attacker can change the exchange.
Raytraxian route
Kaiju’s larger body and community-reported Ion Beam make open sightlines relevant, but doorways and elevation still need testing. Avoid blocking another Raytraxian at a connector. Pressure the Human toward crystals or away from the strongest exit without assuming every contact produces the same form.
Smaller forms can use cover and turns differently. Learn the current body’s route before committing to a full-room pursuit.
Event changes
Power Outage can change lighting and electronics; Blackout can remove even more visual and UI information. Crystal glow may become a stronger landmark while room edges become harder to read. Confirm the event and slow down near elevation.
Seasonal decoration or effect colors can make a familiar crystal appear different. Use current interaction result rather than a color chart from an old version.
Normal lap
Walk entrance, Balcony reference, center edge, and return without touching crystals.
Human test
One crystal source, no item, no player contact, record resulting form.
Event lap
Repeat the route and record only changed lights, barriers, objects, or connectors.
Combat lap
Choose an exit before entering and stop the chase if the route becomes obscured.
Evidence boundary
Crystal Chasm naming, former Crystal Caves alias, crystal hazards, Balcony relationship, and Kaiju association are community corroborated, checked August 13, 2026. Exact crystal behavior, contacts, damage, variants, and geometry remain current-client fields.
Crystal test worksheet
Record entry connector, room label, normal or event state, crystal color and model, Human equipment, protective state, contact action, resulting form, and return route. For combat, add starting position, opponent count, weapon or ability, and the exit used. Test the Balcony reference in both directions so elevation does not invert the route. If a crystal changes appearance but produces the same form, record presentation separately. If it produces no result, rejoin and repeat once before marking the route uncertain. This worksheet separates map, transformation, and event evidence instead of blending them into one color claim.
For player-facing directions, describe the next visible landmark and the safe side of the crystal cluster. Avoid exact coordinates that break when decoration moves. If a large Raytraxian cannot use a connector comfortably, record body and approach direction rather than declaring the route blocked for every form. During Blackout, repeat only after learning the normal path; darkness can turn a navigation mistake into a false map correction.
